1. WHAT THIS COVERS
This Cookie Policy explains how The Alcove LLC, a California limited liability company (“The Alcove,” “we,” “us,” “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on www.agreementsatelier.com and on any funnel, checkout, or membership page we operate for The Agreements Atelier.
It is part of, and should be read with, our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use & Purchase.
Plain English: cookies are how the site remembers your cart, how we know which pages people actually read, and how our ads follow you around the internet. Here’s exactly which ones do what, and how to turn off the ones that aren’t essential.
2. WHAT COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES ARE
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognize your browser later. First-party cookies are set by us. Third-party cookies are set by a vendor whose code runs on our pages. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.
We also use technologies that work like cookies:
· Pixels and web beacons — a tiny invisible image or snippet in a page or email that reports back that you loaded it, and what you clicked.
· Tags and scripts — code that loads a vendor’s functionality, such as analytics or an advertising tracker.
· Local storage — a browser storage area that holds small amounts of data, similar to a cookie but with more room.
· Server logs — records our hosting keeps of requests, including IP address and browser type.
3. THE CATEGORIES WE USE
3.1 Strictly necessary
These make the site work. They keep you logged in, hold the contents of your cart, route you through checkout, deliver your files, remember your cookie choices, and protect against fraud and abuse.
These cannot be switched off through a consent tool. If you block them in your browser, checkout, downloads, and course access will break.
3.2 Functional
These remember preferences — a form you partly filled in, a video position, a dismissed banner — so you don’t have to redo things. Blocking these degrades convenience but not core function.
3.3 Analytics and performance
These tell us, in aggregate, how people find the site, which pages they read, where they abandon a checkout, and what’s broken. We use this to improve the shop. We do not use analytics to make decisions about individuals.
3.4 Advertising and retargeting
These let advertising platforms recognize your browser, measure whether an ad led to a purchase, and show you our ads on other sites and apps. This is the category most likely to be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising — or, under some state laws, a “sale” — even though no money changes hands for your data. Section 6 explains how to opt out.
4. WHO SETS THEM
| Vendor | What it does | Category |
|---|---|---|
| FG Funnels (a HighLevel-based platform) | Runs our funnel, checkout, email/CRM, and course or membership delivery; keeps you logged in and holds your cart | Strictly necessary, functional |
| Stripe | Processes payments and screens for card fraud | Strictly necessary |
| Google Analytics | Aggregate traffic and behavior measurement | Analytics |
| Meta Pixel | Ad measurement and advertising retargeting on Facebook and Instagram | Advertising |
| Google Ads | Ad measurement and advertising retargeting across Google properties | Advertising |
| TikTok Pixel | Ad measurement and advertising retargeting on TikTok | Advertising |
| Squarespace | Serving pages, security, and server logs | Strictly necessary |
Third-party vendors set their cookies under their own privacy policies, and we do not control what they do with the data once collected. Links to their policies are in our Privacy Policy.
5. HOW LONG THEY LAST
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies typically last from a few days to up to 24 months, depending on the vendor and purpose. Advertising cookies commonly run 30 to 180 days. Exact durations are set by each vendor and can change; your browser will show you the actual expiry for any cookie currently stored.
6. YOUR CHOICES
6.1 Our consent banner. Where we display a cookie banner, you can accept or reject non-essential categories there, and reopen it at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in our footer to change your mind.
6.2 Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser. GPC is available in some browsers directly and in others through an extension.
6.3 Do Not Track. Browsers implement “Do Not Track” inconsistently and there is no agreed standard for honoring it, so we do not respond to DNT signals. We do honor GPC, as described above.
6.4 Your browser. Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies in its settings — usually under Privacy or Site Settings. Blocking all cookies will prevent checkout and course access from working.
6.5 Industry opt-out tools. You can manage many advertising cookies at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative opt-out pages, and through the ad settings inside your Google, Meta, and TikTok accounts. These tools opt you out of targeting, not of seeing ads.
6.6 Email pixels. Setting your email client to block remote images will stop most open-tracking pixels from loading.
6.7 What opting out does not do. Opting out does not delete data already collected, does not stop strictly necessary cookies, and does not stop you from seeing ads — it makes them less relevant. And because opt-outs are stored in a cookie, clearing your cookies or switching browsers or devices resets them.
7. CHANGES
We may update this Policy as we add or remove vendors. We will post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date, and we will update the table in Section 4 when our vendors change.
